Risk is a strategy board game made by Parker Brothers and was invented by Albert Lamorisse, a French film director best known for his movie Le Ballon rouge, and originally released in 1957 in France as "La ConquĂȘte du Monde".

Parker Brothers bought the game through their alliance with the Miro Co. and in 1959 released it with some modifications to the rules as "Risk: The Continental Game", later "Risk: The Game of Global Domination."

Hey, I have a good one here, and I hope someone out there can help me out. I just got a Parker Brothers Risk game, and it is a version and from a country I have never seen before. 1 - it is in a box very similar to the red box version that came with wooden pieces and typical game board. 2 - this one has a swirl logo with big block letters "PARKER" the same size as the logo. 3 - it has round plastic pieces that look like a short licorice nib. 4 - the back of the game board is white, it has a red label, about 4 x 5 inches. 5 - the playing surface is totally unique, and I have seen a lot of Risk games, I have or have seen a lot. This board is kind of similar in graphics to the 1959 game board, except it has a graphic on it that combines the "cannon, horse, and soldier" plastic playing pieces. Also, it has the territories such as Australia, New Zealand, Greenland, and more, outlined in a thick dashed line. Can anyone help me identify this game, country, age, anything? Thank you to all, Bob
