I have a red and gold Modern toys TM Japan Model T that I have found a few similar models on ebay. Most have a lever action pull. This model does not. There is a notch where the model would have the lever but the unit has no such connection through the bottom. It seems to be a straight friction model. I found almost identical model but it has a simple aluminum wind shield. my version has no slot for a windshield. My question is this a rarer version? It is marked on the back with Modern Toys Logo and a plain "Japan". Underside marked: Patent No.27579,104210,100166,103627. I am trying to date the model. Did the pull lever come before or after the straight push friction version? Is it worth any more than the pull lever models? They seem to run between 15 and 50 dollars for the pull lever versions. Thank you!
I don't think they are worth any more than the pull lever models. You can look here to see if you can find yours: Modern Toys Model T.
