In 1950, a production cooperative called KOVODRUŽSTVO Náchod was founded. The headquarters of the cooperative were in Náchod and the production of toys (made of printed sheet metal and plastics) was in Semily, Nový Hrádek, Ohnišov, Bystrý, Osečnice, Meziměstí and Benešov u Semil. In 1992, after the revolution, the cooperative was renamed KADEN, production cooperative, Náchod.
Since the founding of the cooperativ, the logo has been in the shape of two connected circles and the letters KD N inscribed in them. This logo was used until about 1970-1972, until it was changed in a new brand with the shape of child kneeling by a toy. This brand is used in a slightly modified form until today by the company KADEN, s.r.o. Nový Hrádek, Czech Republic.
Besides water meters, Kaden makes Tatra truck models, military army vehicles, building kits, and Skoda model cars.
