Danboard figures

Danbo (Danboard) originated from the Japanese manga series Yotsuba&! (Japanese comedy manga series by Kiyohiko Azuma, the creator of Azumanga Daioh) in which the character Miura Hayasaka dresses up in a cardboard box robot suit.

This collectible figure is from the Revoltech series, manufactured by Kaiyodo. The figure is constructed from PVC/ABS plastic with a painted finish. It features movable joints in the head, arms and legs allowing Danbo to pose in many different stances and so has proved popular with toy figure photographers. Danbo also has light-up eyes powered by two small batteries in the head which are operated by a small switch on the side. Since the initial release of the original Danbo figure there have been several other versions. Including a full sized & 80mm mini Amazon branded and a 7-Eleven branded, with minor alterations made to these versions along the way. Sometimes called 'Amazon figures'.
